About the Corner Room

Chef Smith opened his third establishment, The Corner Room Kitchen & Bar, on July 2, 2009 in the space formerly occupied by the Salt Institute at the intersection of Federal and Exchange streets in Portland’s Old Port. With the same comfortable rustic ambiance as the first two Rooms, The Corner Room features fresh housemade pastas, pizzas, antipasti and artisanal breads – affordable rustic Italian-inspired food at its best – and has seen huge success since opening their doors.

About Maine magazine

Maine is a new publication celebrating Maine’s own distinctive cultural landscape. Focusing on food, outdoor adventures, the arts, music, culture and events across the state, the magazine will be a resource for Mainers looking to experience life to the fullest. The publication will include local trends and events, restaurant reviews, profiles of interesting and influential local individuals, and suggestions for short getaways readers can take for a day, night, or weekend. Maine is the second publication from the editors and publishers of Maine Home+Design magazine and is published ten times a year. (Follow Maine magazine on Twitter)
