An elegant yet casual destination restaurant in the heart of Portland's Old Port District, Eve's at the Garden in the Portland Harbor Hotel delights the palate with its imaginative, sophisticated menu and carefully matched wine list. Their menu includes New England classics with an updated twist, and changes seasonally to feature local seafood, produce and organic Maine-raised meats. Eve's recently renovated dining room and lounge are a delightful destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner - or perhaps after-work drinks with a few friends. The restaurant overlooks the Hotel's courtyard garden, away from the bustle of the streets, where patrons can dine or relax with a beverage on a beautiful day... or enjoy in the middle of winter, by an outdoor fireplace during the Portland Harbor Hotel's annual Ice Bar event. Eve's regularly hosts special events including an annual caviar dinner, a fashion dinner, and wine dinners, inviting guests to experience some of Portland's distinct metropolitan charms.
The Chef:
At Eve's at the Garden, Executive Chef Earl Morse crafts creative, sophisticated cuisine and puts his own spin on classic New England fare. Trained in patisserie in Belgium, Chef Morse's desserts are not to be missed and emphasize the use of seasonal fruits in panna cotta, tarts and other delightful treats. Chef Morse trained at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in New York and was most recently at the acclaimed White Barn Inn in Kennebunkport, Maine. In addition to his culinary prowess, Chef Morse is an award-winning ice carver and frequently brings his icy creations into Eve's. He has earned two Bronze Medals in World Ice Sculpting Championships in 2004 and 2005 as well as a Gold Medal in European Ice Championships in 2003. Eve's annual ice bar event in January, is a terrific opportunity to witness Chef Morse's many talents.
Eve's at the Garden serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week in the dining room or on the patio (season and weather permitting).
