Located in the beautiful Camden/Rockport region of midcoast Maine, Cellardoor is Maine's oldest vineyard dating back to 1997. The company's gift shop, tasting bar, loft seating area, test kitchen and deck are part of a carefully restored 1790's barn and overlook the vineyard and rolling hills beyond. Visitors to Cellardoor are invited to participate in complimentary wine tastings and are welcome to walk the fields, have a picnic on the grounds or simply sit and experience the serene atmosphere.

• Purchased from John and Stephanie Clapp in 2007, the Cellardoor winery and vineyard is owned and operated by Bettina Doulton, a 21-year veteran of Boston's Fidelity Investments.
• The Cellardoor team includes winemakers Aaron Peet and Brian Smith. Peet is a graduate of the Center for Enology and Viticulture in Walla Walla, Washington, and Smith is a graduate of California State University at Fresno with a degree in Enology and Viticulture.
• The Cellardoor vineyard, located on a south-facing slope of a valley just five miles from the Camden Harbor, enjoys a unique microclimate, protected from Maine's harsh winter weather.
• The Cellardoor viticulturists have planted acres of new vines of grape varietals developed at the University of Minnesota that are particularly appropriate for Maine's unique climate and soil.
• Cellardoor is the founding member of the newly created Maine Wine Guild/Maine Wine Trail which now has 16 members (www.mainewinetrail.com).
• Cellardoor programs and events include:

o Weekly wine and food samplings as well as regular cooking classes with area chefs;
o Winemaking classes and Wine Camps for adults; and
o Annual celebrations including summer's Pop the Cork event celebrating art, culture, food, wine, and community, and October's Vinfest Fall Festival.
